Resource Team — Privacy

This extension is built by R0ice for the R0ice Resource Team, a volunteer program at r0ice.com/resource-team. This page explains exactly what it does and does not do with your data.

What it accesses

• youtube.com — to look up a video's public caption data on the server's behalf.
• r0ice.com — to fetch a work item (a single YouTube video ID) and send back the result.

What it never does

• Never reads your browsing history, bookmarks, or any tab you have open
• Never reads or transmits anything about you personally — no account info, no identifiers beyond the random token generated when you join
• Runs continuously in the background — tiny, infrequent requests, never anything that competes for your CPU or GPU
• Never touches your files or any data outside its own background task

What leaves your machine

Only the exact video ID you were assigned, and whatever public caption text (or a status like "no captions available") comes back from YouTube for that one video. Nothing else.

Your data

The only thing stored about you is a randomly generated token and, if you choose to give one, a handle/nickname. There is no email, no account, no tracking. Leaving the team (uninstalling the extension) means that token is simply never used again.
